22. Giants of the Misty
Forest (12-3-2;6), Verga 18 756-Leirn
4 757, SE-DE 01
Background and summary: A year or two ago, Giants started appearing
out of the Misty Forest in ever-increasing numbers. Since
then, they have taken and held a large chunk of territory south
and east of Zarim, and have battered against the Dwarven
defenses much like waves bash against a seawall. Knowing the Dwarves
are hard-pressed, the Party offers assistance as an advance
scout and strike team to gather information and maybe relieve
some pressure. As the Dwarves need all the help they can get (though
they refuse to admit it), this offer is gratefully accepted,
so the Party mounts a series of raids in Giant-held territory and
manage to cause the Giants more difficulty than they realize,
though not without taking casualties themselves. However, the Party
is unable to generate enough sustained pressure to either
drive the Giants back or access their main camps or headquarters;
a joint Party-Dwarf raid on an outpost camp is the best they can
muster, and even this proves costly.
Things fall apart when the Party start seeking compensation from
the Dwarves. The Party consider themselves paid mercenaries,
while the Dwarves consider them unpaid volunteers - and also realize
the Party is doing quite well financially just by looting
the Giants they kill. So the Dwarves refuse to pay (though they
do offer to hire Akasha as an individual to cast spells for
them) and the Party departs on somewhat less than pleasant terms;
leaving the Dwarves in something of a predicament and ultimately
leading to nearly all of chapter 9 of this book.
Starting members (from Black Hand II):
Araglas(F-6), Akasha(I-4), Brogmac(F-4), Altheas(MU-4), Yfielim(T-5),
Khrodhar(NrC-4), Yn.Nimb(I-3/T-4),
S'nel'be(WrC-6), Drogo(F-6), Khye(F-5)
| Can 28 756 |
Leave Waterdeep after finally deciding
what to do, head north for Zarim. |
| Ver 21 |
Enter southern Riveria, find it really
is held by lots of undead, leave quietly. |
| Ver 24 |
Arrive Zarim, get briefed by Dwarves on situation
|
| Ver 26 |
Arrive front line, more briefing.
Somewhen around now, Khye realizes he bumped a while ago (to
F-5) but forgot to train, and it's too late now. |
| Ver 27 |
Sneak through battle line, reach
a Giant outpost; Yn.Nimb sneaks in but gets attacked by a huge
rat (a pet of the Giant commander) and is lucky not to get swallowed
whole. Rest of Party bail him out, then retreat to hills. |
| Ver 28 |
Frank Bland(R-4) joins by
stumbling onto Party's camp; he too is out here trying to harass
the Giants. |
| A couple of Giants interrupt Party's
Skandigan celebrations by nailing Araglas with boulders; Party
drunkenly takes them out, then moves camp. |
| Fie 1 |
To edge of Misty Forest. Satyrs
cause all kinds of mayhem that night by charming Yfielim and
Brogmac who then get clobbered by rest of Party; one Satyr captured
(much to his enjoyment!) but is very disappointed when all Party
does is question and release him. |
| Fie 2 |
Lots of exploring through forest.
Yn.nimb charmed by a Dryad; Party runs Dryad off but cannot
break charm, so Yn.nimb spends next few days trying to wander
off. |
| Fie 3 |
Make contact with some enslaved Orcs
and displaced Elves, exchange info.
|
| Take out a mixed band of Giants,
Ogres and Orcs in a well-planned ambush. |
| Fie 4 |
Attacking 7 Hill Giants doesn't go
so well; Khye killed and Yn.nimb almost. |
| 2 Satyrs show up and charm Yn.nimb
(thus breaking the Dryad charm); Party somehow manages not to
kill Yn.nimb when he turns on them. Satyrs don't last long. |
| Party flees into forest, gets turned
around by the ambient magic here, and manages to lose an entire
day. |
| Fie 6 |
Blunder out of forest close to main
Giant camp, hesitantly explore, then retreat. |
| Meet a Fire Giant on road; attempt
to sneak past but make too much noise, and Giant drops a fireball
on Party. Everyone survives the blast, but Frank's only two
magic possessions blow up; Yn.nimb killed by the resulting
meltdown. Party then annihilate the Giant, and leave. |
| Fie 9 |
Arrive back at Zarim. |
| Fie 10 |
Yn.nimb (now I-4/T-4) fails
raise. Khye raised. |
| Fie 11 |
Frank retires as he is now
much poorer than when he joined; he's had enough. |
| Various people start training: Altheas
to MU-5, Khrodhar to NrC-5, Brogmac to F-5. Khye, though he's
needed training all along, now cannot afford it! Non-trainees
make their way back to front lines. |
| Fie 21 |
Yfielim goes out on a scouting mission
with some Dwarves and comes back with 2 recruits: Svabard(R-4)
and No'ei Deyeyet(NtC-3/I-3) join. |
| Lei 1 757 |
After lots of planning, Party goes
through battle line again as part of a co-ordinated attack against
an important Giant outpost. |
| Lei 2 |
Reach outpost and attack after dusk:
o Plan is for sneaks to
infiltrate camp, then Dwarves to attack from one side and Party
from other;
o Dwarves get slightly delayed
by a previously-unnoticed band of Trolls;
o Unaware of this, Party
attacks as planned: attack spectacularly successful to begin
with but Giants soon catch on;
o Yfielim winds up on her
own in midst of Giant camp and only escapes by using a diminution
potion so she can hide in small spaces;
o At one point, Drogo does
4x damage to a Giant just as an Ogre does 4x damage to Drogo;
Drogo killed;
o Giants isolate Party and
Party gets mushed: Khye, Svabard and Brogmac killed
while everyone else scrambles to escape. Bodies of Drogo and
Brogmac carried off by Giants.
o The Dwarves don't fare
much better, suffering 75% losses - about the same as the Giants.
|
| Lei 4 |
Return to Zarim. Negotiations with
Dwarves regarding payment and treasure division soon become
uncivil. |
| Lei 7 |
By now, it has become obvious the
Dwarves will not pay Party for services rendered, so Party decides
to abandon at next opportunity, leaving their dead behind. |
Surviving members: Araglas(F-6), Akasha(I-5), Altheas(MU-5), Yfielim(T-5),
Khrodhar(NrC-5), S'nel'be(WrC-6), Frank(R-4), No'ei(NtC-4/I-3)
New members: Frank, Svabard, No'ei
Casualties: Yn.nimb, Drogo, Svabard, Brogmac; Khye(twice - raised
once)
Retirees: Frank
Continuing party (to Sheeramaliea):
Araglas, Akasha, Altheas, Yfielim, Khrodhar, S'nel'be, No'ei
23. (The Fabled
Treasure of) Sheeramaliea (15-8-5;2),
Leirn 16-Scori 1 757, DE 01-MR 02
Background and summary: Fed up with taking lots of risk for little
monetary reward, the Party looks for a way to make an easy
buck. They hear rumours of a fabled treasure somewhere in the eastern
part of the Misty Forest, and with little forethought head
out to find it. After aimlessly blundering around for a while,
bickering as they go, they find a bizarre complex holding
a number of very out-of-place individuals and quite efficiently
proceed to clean out much of it...only to then learn that
the "treasure" they're here to find is worthless to any
except the local Elves! But the occupants of the place have
gobs of other loot, so the Party still comes away satisfied.
Starting members (from Giants of the Misty
Forest): Araglas(F-6), Akasha(I-5), Altheas(MU-5), Yfielim(T-5),
Khrodhar(NrC-5),
S'nel'be(WrC-6), No'ei(NtC-4/I-3)
| Lei 9 757 |
Altheas returns from training with
a new recruit: Dakiell Daverous(F-4) joins. |
| Lei 10 |
Informing Dwarves they're off to
harass the Giants again, Party head back through battle line,
but abandon mission immediately and turn south. Dwarves eventually
assume them all lost, and carry on. |
| Lei 15 |
Serioge Tarmalin(R-5) joins
in Misty Forest, as a guide. |
| Lei 18 |
Reach Serioge's family home; his
mother tells of treasure, and of Sapent, its half-crazed guardian.
|
| Lei 19 |
Reach main north-south road and start
accumulating people: He'is(F-4) and Eightfast Tinbright(Cvr-3)
join from the south, and shortly after this Grogmac son
of Bartab(WrC-4) joins from the north. The keg of beer
on Grogmac's back ensures he is well received. |
| Lei 20 |
Back into forest, meet a talking
Hydra that leads Party to Sapent's lair. |
| On arriving here, Party sees a Hill
Giant carrying a captive Orc; this is an illusion of Sapent's,
and she is the "Orc". A very disjointed conversation
sees Sapent keep No'ei to train (thus No'ei leaves, for
now) and kick everyone else out of her forest; Party returns
to road. |
| Encounter Thomas and Jasmine, a couple
of scouts for a local bandit brigade; big argument on how to
deal with them. Eventually, Altheas psyonically suggests they
lead Party to their camp. |
| Close to bandit camp, another argument
breaks out - Araglas and Grogmac fight; Khrodhar and Eightfast
fight, this all makes bandits very much aware of Party's presence.
Khrodhar also steals 3 valuable gems from Araglas during all
this, and buries them for later recovery. |
| Bandits surround Party and attack;
despite some of Party still fighting each other, bandits don't
last long. |
| Araglas notices gems missing en route
back to road, lots more bickering until Altheas pulls Khrodhar
as guilty and forces him to recover and return the gems. |
| Lei 21 |
Another group of bandits attack,
Party takes one captive. |
| Lei 22 |
No'ei rejoins as he's realized
Sapent is incapable of training him and is also a menace to
all around her. |
| Eightfast leaves supposedly
to take captive to nearest village; in reality, he and Khrodhar
are mutually fed up with each other and Eightfast is happy to
depart. |
| Lei 23 |
Back to Sapent's; this time she merely
counts heads and lets Party pass. |
| Lei 24 |
Divine inspiration through a beer
mug leads Grogmac (and thus, Party) to entrance to Sheeramaliea
complex. S'nel'be glyphs entrance once Party inside. |
| Find a powerful group of Drow behind
a door; No'ei killed, but Party wins and gains loads
of loot, including several Drow Gems and a ring that gives He'is
an outstanding wish he'd not use (or know of) for ages. |
| Lei 25 |
Yfielim tries to steal one of the
Drow Gems from S'nel'be's backpack but gets rejected by a glyph.
Altheas ferrets out the culprit but then refuses to tell anyone;
bickering renewed. |
| Some help comes in the entrance (and
gets hit by S'nel'be's glyph!) and finds Party by following
noise of arguments: Eightfast rejoins with a couple of
new recruits; Eldar(F-4) and Yngar(F-4) join. |
| Exploration finds another excuse
to argue: a Drow prisoner. The best spells S'nel'be can throw
can't find anything wrong with her, so Tamarrik T'zarta(MU-6)
joins despite protests from half the Party. |
| Bash way through complex; Yfielim
killed by a Trapper, helped by a Yngar fumble. At one point,
Khrodhar picks up Eightfast and throws him over the battle to
attack from the rear; he instead gets jumped by a Lurker and
is lucky to survive. |
| Lei 26 |
Akasha enslaved by an Abboleth, but
S'nel'be cures before any major harm done. Party then charges
at Abboleth, but Yngar gets berserked by a sword from treasury
and turns on Party; Abboleth uses this to great advantage, but
is soon slain anyway. |
| Yngar then nearly killed by 2 Cloakers. |
| Lei 27 |
Find a scholarly group of Hobgoblins
in a comfortable laboratory who insist on giving Party a classroom
lecture about how electricity works. |
| Only now does Araglas use her Arrow
of Direction to look for the treasure they're here for; she
determines Party have been going the wrong way since arriving. |
| Find secret passage to treasure room;
Yngar sets off a cave-in trap and barely survives. |
| Find the "treasure"; a
large, egg-shaped, very magical crystal with no obvious function. |
| Lei 28 |
Party finally return Tamarrik's spellbook
and weapons to her, mainly so she can defend herself from Dakiell's
repeated seduction attempts. |
| Leave complex, meet a high-level
Nature Cleric outside who explains egg is a device that helps
Elves grow and maintain their forests, and is useless to anyone
else. Much annoyance among Party. |
| Yfielim reincarnated as a
hawk (thus, no longer playable). |
| No'ei reincarnated as a horned
owl (thus, no longer playable). |
| Sco 2 |
Reach Elvish town, start treasury
and training break. |
| Sco 21 |
Arrive Waterdeep, start another break
as Khrodhar bumped (to NrC-6) en route. |
| Altheas, Dakiell and Eightfast
all retire once treasury done. Grogmac retires
a bit later, see below |
.

Serioge(R-5), He'is(F-5), Eightfast(Cvr-4), Grogmac(WrC-5),
Eldar(F-4), Yngar(F-4), Tamarrik(MU-6)
New members: Dakiell, Serioge, He'is, Eightfast, Grogmac, Eldar,
Yngar, Tamarrik
Casualties: No'ei, Yfielim (both reincarnated)
Retirees: Altheas(to Scaifa);
Grogmac(to War of the Giants –
West); Dakiell(to Sword of
Hope); Eightfast(to alpha series)
Continuing party (to The Evils of Tymore Island):
Araglas, Akasha, Khrodhar, S'nel'be, Serioge, He'is, Eldar, Yngar,
Tamarrik
26. The Evils of Tymore Island
(13-1-1;5), Prici 13-22 757, MA-JL 02
Background and summary: After staying clear thus far, the Party
finally decides to help Riveria out against Teimperian and
his undead army by clearing out the unpleasant occupants of Tymore
Island - just off the Riverian coast - so the navy can use
the harbour there as a base. They find the island is home to a
small community of enormous lizards, along with some Sasquatches
who pay them fealty; the Sasquatches are a pushover for the
Party however the lizards are anything but, and eventually drive
the Party away.
Starting members (from Sheeramaliea):
Araglas(F-7), Akasha(I-5), Khrodhar(NrC-6), S'nel'be(WrC-7),
Serioge(R-5), He'is(F-5), Eldar(F-4),
Yngar(F-4), Tamarrik(MU-6)
(from Dragonspear
Castle I): Leshendra(T-5)
(from Pharoah's
Tomb): Kermut(NrC-5)
(from Swordquest):
Chance(NtC-4)
| Tar 11 757 |
Somewhen around now, Araglas annoys
Osiris such that He quests her to go to His temple and show
Him fealty. So, grumbling all the way, off she goes. |
| Tar 13 |
Leshendra rejoins,
and Dew Mo'at(A-4) joins. |
| Tar 15 |
Chance rejoins. |
| Tar 19 |
After great expense and much teleporting,
Araglas arrives at Osiris' temple - the pyramid from Pharoah's
Tomb! Here she meets Elnoc and Churla,
and barely manages to assuage Osiris. |
| Tar 26 |
Araglas gets back to Waterdeep. |
| Tar 27 |
Party leaves Waterdeep. |
| Pri 12 |
Arrive Portloe and swap out Clerics:
Grogmac retires and Kermut rejoins. |
| Pri 13 |
Navy takes Party to island. |
| Pri 15 |
Find and wipe out a village of Sasquatches;
Araglas does 72 h.p. damage to one with an arrow shot. A few
captives provide little useful info, and are left behind. |
| Pri 16 |
Another Sasquatch village meets its
end; loot includes a very magical tapestry. |
| Village guards a mountain; Araglas
lowered down a vertical shaft inside and almost eaten by a giant
lizard. |
| Party uses poisoned Sasquatch corpses
as lizard bait; kill one (but don't know it), and nicely feed
the rest. |
| Pri 17 |
Various abortive attempts to get
at lizards achieve little. |
| Akasha shoots a Wand of Wonder down
the shaft and blows her own hand off with a rebounding lightning
bolt. Amazingly, the wand - being held in that hand - survives
and doesn't even fall down the shaft! |
| Pri 18 |
Khrodhar digs a level entrance into
lizard caves, then Party wade in and barely defeat three lizards.
Serioge arrives late to this brawl as for some inexplicable
reason he had chosen that moment to do his laundry. |
| Pri 20 |
Another attempt at lizard caves goes
wrong. Khrodhar killed, then Khrodhar raised
a round later by divine intervention; he went to -11 (saved
by Death's Door) later in same combat. Leshendra, S'nel'be,
Yngar and Dew also killed, and Serioge almost;
Yngar finished at -87...all this to kill 4 lizards. |
| Pri 21 |
Remains of Party reach coast and
are picked up by navy. |
| Pri 22 |
Arrive Portloe, start a month-long
training break; spend much of it learning how to use tapestry
to teleport. |
| Pri 24 |
S'nel'be raised. |
| Pri 25 |
Leshendra raised. |
| Pri 26 |
Dew raised. Sometime around
now, Akasha gets her hand restored. |
Surviving members: Araglas(F-7), Akasha(I-6), Khrodhar(NrC-6),
S'nel'be(WrC-7), Serioge(R-5), He'is(F-5),
Eldar(F-5), Tamarrik(MU-6), Leshendra(T-5),
Kermut(NrC-5), Chance(NtC-5), Dew(A-5)
New members: Dew
Casualties: Yngar; (Khrodhar, S'nel'be, Leshendra, Dew - all revived)
Retirees: none
Continuing party (to The Chronos Stone):
Araglas, Akasha, Khrodhar, S'nel'be, Serioge, He'is, Eldar, Tamarrik,
Leshendra, Kermut, Chance, Dew
27. The Chronos Stone (14-0-0;0),
Various times 755-797, JL-AU 02
Background and summary: The Party returns to Tymore Island intent
on dealing with the lizards once and for all, but find instead a
crystal that allows them to travel through time. After some experimentation,
they realize this could provide a relatively easy means of ending
Teimperian's reign in Riveria, by ensuring his overthrow never succeeds
in the first place. So, they start altering history: first, they
prevent Teimperian from getting the golden skull in Dragonspear
Castle I, but that doesn't work; then they try raising Riveria
against him, but that doesn't work, so finally they just track him
down and kill him. They then give the crystal to Helm for safekeeping,
and to get it off this world.
King Richard, duly impressed, rewards the Party and Company handsomely,
by giving them the means to build a castle near the tiny
village of Verwood in northern Riveria. The Party spend several
months at this, after which they've caught up to the time
it was when they found the crystal to begin with, and Verwood Keep
is born. Meanwhile, the remaining Tymore Island lizards
happily carry on with their lives, ignorant of all.
Starting members (from The Evils of Tymore
Island): Araglas(F-7), Akasha(I-6), Khrodhar(NrC-6),
S'nel'be(WrC-7),
Serioge(R-5), He'is(F-5), Eldar(F-5), Tamarrik(MU-6),
Leshendra(T-5), Kermut(NrC-5), Chance(NtC-5), Dew(A-5)
| Aqu 25 757 |
Leave Portloe; get to lizard caves
the same day by using teleport tapestry. |
| Khrodhar tries to dig another entrance
but stops when away team of "Arag. Aka. Seri. Chan. Lesh."
finds there might already be one, half a mile south. |
| Aqu 26 |
Into new cave, find a crystal suspended
in mid-air; S'nel'be fiddles with it and blips everyone into
the future. |
| Can 22 797 |
Meet a much older Cnutkum,
his wife (Derisa) and kids (Kylie and William); find out year
is 797 and that they are on what used to be the Company's farm
near Durweston. |
| Can 23 |
To Durweston, then use tapestry to
get to Waterdeep. |
| Learn that the crystal is the Chronos
Stone, and that a user's manual (the Book of Merignes) exists
somewhere near Quick. |
| Can 24 |
Meet Pearl in Waterdeep MU's
guild; she leads to Altheas and Llandreesa. |
| Altheas uses psyonics to contact
Fulvin in Quick; he arranges to get the book. |
| Can 27 |
S'nel'be goes to Quick and gets the
book from Fulvin. |
| Ver 2 |
Using book, try a test blip to Verga
1, then back to Verga 2; seems to work OK. |
| Try another test blip to Verga 5,
then back to Verga 2; works fine. Lots and lots of discussion
what to do next, finally decide to try and prevent Riverian
takeover from ever happening by keeping golden skull of undead
control out of Teimperian's hands; blip to intercept Party during
Dragonspear Castle I. |
| Jer 5 755 |
Arrive Waterdeep, tapestry to Dragonspear
Castle, hide and await movements of original Party. (see
write-up for Dragonspear
Castle I to find out what that Party was up to at the
time) |
| Kermut watches himself and his old
Party leave, then re-enter, outbuilding where they were camped;
the old Party originally obtained the skull during this foray. |
| Jer 6 |
S'nel'be sneaks in and steals the
skull from Pearl's backpack as she sleeps; rearranges
some other things as per Kermut's instructions so old Party
would still have reason to do the same things they did the first
time around (i.e. minimizing history alteration). |
| Tapestry to Waterdeep, take skull
to Helm temple there. |
| Jer 8 |
Lots of experimenting reveals skull
cannot be destroyed; leaving it here, Party blips into future
to see how things turn out in Riveria. |
| Jer 8 759 |
Discover Riveria still fell to Teimperian
in 757 as he acquired the skull anyway. So, on to plan B. |
| Jem 8 757 |
Blip, then tapestry to Riveria. |
| Jem 9 |
Akasha and Araglas arrange an emergency
meeting with King Richard to warn him what is about to happen;
his advisers (including Charles - and Teimperian!) hear this
as well. Charles gets A+A out of there while Temiperian accelerates
his plans greatly. |
| Everyone gathers at Helm temple,
and also round up Prittr. |
| Storm palace. Teimperian has already
taken over and is now masquerading as Richard; Party tries to
take him prisoner but kills him in the process. Speak With
Dead reveals Richard is captive many miles south. |
| Jem 10 |
Everyone plane-shifts to Sombar,
rescue Richard; some return to Riveria. |
| Riveria attacked that night (about
2 months earlier than original timeline); attack unsuccessful
except Helm temple gets demolished. |
| Jem 12 |
Everyone reunites at Riveria. |
| Jem 13 |
Audience with Richard; he rewards
Party by giving them title to some land near village of Verwood,
30,000 g.p. to help build a castle there, and rights to the
village when the current (very aged) Duke dies off. |
| Jem 15 |
Charles and Kermut take Chronos
Stone and Book of Merignes to Helm's plane, and leave them with
Him. |
| Jem 20 |
Somewhen around now, Party arrives
at Verwood and start construction of Verwood Keep; spend next
9 months doing this. |
| During this time, Tamarrik, Chance,
Dew and Kermut all retire, and several others
train. |
| Aqu 27 |
By now, Keep fit for habitation; various old friends (Lt.
Nelson, Major Minor) have showed up to help run it, and several
retired characters have also arrived. Party have now caught
up in time to where they began.

29. The Light of Tirelle
(11-3-1;5), Aqui 28-Jera 8 757, AU-DE 02
Background and summary: Following clues provided by some mysterious
messages, and taking with them a person who says he has to
tag along but has no idea why, the Party goes to a bizarre little
mini-world with no obvious way of getting back. After defeating
lots and lots of strange quasi-Demons called Magon, they both find
the way back and restore the Paladinic abilities of Robert,
the supposed non-adventurer they had taken along to begin
with.
Starting members (from The Chronos Stone):
Araglas(F-7), Akasha(I-6), Khrodhar(NrC-6), S'nel'be(WrC-7),
Serioge(R-6), He'is(F-5),
Eldar(F-5), Leshendra(T-6)
| Aqu 28 757 |
The first of a series of odd messages
(e.g. "Beware the Magon", "Look for the Light",
"Tirelle Calls", etc.) arrives at Verwood, more would
show up over the next few weeks. Various people travel to various
places to try and figure out what if any significance these
messages have. |
| Leq 4 |
Akasha gets to Riveria and here meets
Robert, who seems to be connected to the goings-on but isn't
sure how or why. Having nothing better to do with him, she
brings him back to Verwood, so Robert(--) joins. |
| Leq 17 |
A wandering mage arrives at Verwood
and signs on: Margaret Meadowweave(MU-4) joins. |
| Leq 18 |
By now realizing the clues point
vaguely north, Party leaves Verwood. |
| Jer 4 |
4 Frost Giants attack and clobber
a rusty Party: Serioge and Khrodhar killed, Party
barely wins. |
| Serioge and Khrodhar raised
by S'nel'be, using a Candle. |
| Jer 5 |
Half a dozen Orcs almost prove more
than the battered Party can handle. |
| Jer 6 |
Half a dozen Yeti don't last nearly
as long as the Orcs did. |
| Jer 7 |
Party finds and enters a cave at
about the place their vague clues seem to point at; 6 Gargoyles
defend it but don't last long. Much paranoia among Party as
opponents appearing 6 at a time; in fact, it is sheer coincidence. |
A door leads to a large "cave"
which is in fact a different world; door vanishes once everyone
is through.
(note that dates from here on
for a while are subjective to the characters) |
| Party begins encountering Magon at
every turn and slowly get whittled down. |
| Find door that exits to "outside"
but that looks even less hospitable than "inside",
so don't go very far. |
| Jer 8 |
Entire day spent resting and recovering
just "outside" the door. A skeletal Dragon provides
overnight entertainment. |
| Jer 9 |
Battle with 20 Black and 4 Red Magon
weakens Party considerably; Akasha thrashed and would remain
incurable for almost entire adventure, rest of Party takes 2
days to recuperate. |
| Jer 11 |
Find new Magon area, take out 6 Reds;
opening another door produces 5 more Reds and 3 Yellows, and
Party stops after clobbering these. |
| Jer 12 |
The Magon strike back: 9 Black, 10
Red and 2 Yellow attack en masse; the ensuing combat produces
16 fumbles! Margaret killed, and Eldar almost: he goes
to -9, -10(saved by Death's Door) and -4 and gets cured above
0 each time, thus joining Akasha on the quasi-permanently incurable
list. |
| Jer 14 |
Margaret raised by S'nel'be.
|
| Jer 15 |
A wandering and very lost Human shows
up and Party takes him in, so Ilya(--) joins. |
| Jer 16 |
Reach a new area and start taking
on Yellows in numbers, retreat. |
| Jer 18 |
Reach another new area and get attacked
by 4 Greens; defeat, and retreat. |
| Jer 20 |
Reach yet another new area and find
out the hard way Blues are really tough: Serioge killed.
Retreat. |
| Jer 22 |
A Violet Magon proves the toughest
of all; Ilya killed, but Party prevails. During this,
Robert sees a light through a nearby door and runs toward it;
he returns shortly after as a P-11. He informs Party he now
remembers that Ilya was his squire, and that as he died honourably
he should remain that way. |
| Jer 23 |
Learn that the light Robert ran to
is the Light of Tirelle. Also find a huge pile of booty here. |
| He'is touches the Light and blips
everyone to slightly north of Waterdeep. |
| Jer 8 (!) |
Party learn they are out by about
half a month in time; only one night has passed on Riveria since
they entered the cave up north. |
| Jer 14 |
