Aug 26: recruiting for an MU; Rikki (I1) and Taro (T1/T1) joined; hired by Amphithean army to investigate the secret Orc camp. Aug 29-Sept 4: walk from Amphithea into hills where Orc camp hidden. Sept 2: defeat patrol of Ogres and Bugbears. Sept 4: sneak into the old Jomon Monastery; snoop around and then exit. Sept 5: defeat an Orc and Bugbear hunting party. Sept 6: ambushed in camp by another Orc and Bugbear hunting party; Darkmoon killed 4 opponents with three swings in 3 rounds (being reduced to 1 hit point in the process). Sept 7: enter Monastery again. Meet a Wight; Lena loses 1 Cleric level. Defeat all occupants ... they think; intend to hold Monastery against returning patrols. Surprised by hidden occupants; kill most, but forced to flee back to camp. Sept 9: enter Monastery again. Lured by surviving enemy into trap set by "Techies" (Trechtotties); damage their equipment, but are still teleported to island of Mixene, except Rikki is left behind (he escapes from an Orc assassin and a magic-user; eventually returns to Amphithea). On Mixene, a large group of Orcs are waiting, but they are stunned by the faulty teleport. Party finds the Wand of Phantasms and escapes. Meet Neleus, who leads them to local resistance group; Neleus (R1) joins. Discuss events and plan party's escape from island. Sept 11: sneak out of town of Mixene: diversion created at the docks to cover their escape (some hated mercenaries framed). Use secret tunnels under town. Kill 9 guards en route. Enter Athena sanctuary on peak of island: Blocked outside Athena sanctuary by Orc blockade. Send Arlephone's snake into sanctuary, with message written on its back. Diversion started, but blocked at gate by a few Orcs. Helped by the guardian Empousa (holding snake as a pet) and local cleric. Arlephone recovers snake. Arlephone creates psionic link with two Athena monks: Lukos and Manto. Meet Valerian (NtC1), who joins. Sept 12: flee sanctuary when Tzinna demanded their surrender: With help of Empousa, kill 2 Tzinna (one of the few encounters in Greeklands with Tzinna; create first corpses to be available for study). Sail to ruins on shore, met Melissa's resistance group. Sept 13-29: training for Darkmoon, Geran, Lena, Taro, Rowan, and Alaska. Sept 20: Geran commissions a magic 2H "Orc-slayer" sword, via Aelyina. Sept 30-Oct 7: walk to the Khaldorian Wall (from behind enemy lines). Oct 1-2: meet and defeat some Ghouls. Oct 5: meet and defeat a Gnoll patrol (6 fumbles, 3 into allies; 80 pt. swing by Geran). Oct 7: arrive at Fort Glattoi and meet sgt. Agamemnon. Oct 7-19: walk to Priene. Oct 8: arrive at Graisos; Neleus leaves party. Oct 9: arrive as Iasos; sell weapons to General Ajax. Oct 19: arrive at Priene. Oct 21: meet Lupos, who gives them some messages to take to Amphithea. Oct 22-Nov 2: walk to Amphithea; hired as caravan bodyguards to Hyberos. Nov 3-10: training for Alaska and Rikki; Rikki rejoins.
