The
Ballad of Polybus the Thief
by Khadrous the Magnificent
Polybus
the proud!
Polybus the fleet!
Although mostly incurable
Every foe he'd meet!
He stuck by our side
And was good comic relief!
Here's to our fallen comrade:
Polybus the Thief!
Wherever he did turn
Danger there did lurk
Stealing bows, returning horns
An emancipator's work!
Always pinching gold
And despite his type's motif
He never thought to steal from us!
Polybus the Thief!
Once in a darkened cave
A minotaur he fought
And somehow he survived that
But then the farm, he bought!
Slain by a fire beetle,
Burned beyond belief!
Here's to our scorchèd comrade:
Polybus the Thief!
His legacy remains,
A story to be told,
Of how a simple beetle
Could slay a man so bold.
Felled by a meagre bug,
While stuck under its feet!
The man killed by his own friend's grease:
Polybus the Thief!
